Thanksgiving

Avery's first Thanksgiving went by really fast. Multiple places in a short period of time, but we made it through without too many meltdowns. You don't realize how different holidays are going to be with a baby until you actually do it. I think I could sleep for a week straight.
On other firsts: the little princess is getting her first tooth! Yay! For my dental friends out there, it is the most beautiful incisal edge of letter p that I have ever seen ( I might be a little biased, though). She hasn't bitten me yet, but I think our nursing days are numbered. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Here are the turkey day pics.

27 Weeks

I can't believe we have a 6 month old! All these little life steps are happening so fast. The princess is enjoying her "real food". We are now on to green peas, yummy, and we start fruit soon. We also have advanced to sitting in the cry room during mass. Avery is very vocal with her squeals, "ba, ba, ba's" and motor boating. Not so conducive for church.
This week Tim and his friend Matt went up to Charlotte for the Panthers game. Unfortunately, Miami pulled off the win. They had a good time though. Still not has fun (or heart wrenching) as those gamecock games. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Oh, Sweet Potato!

Avery had her 6 month pediatric appointment and she looks great! She's 12lbs 8oz and 25 1/2 inches. She had another round of vaccinations. I think she cried the most this time :(. But she made it through. This weekend we started her on solid foods. We've just finished up on our 5th day of sweet potatoes and tomorrow we'll start squash. See, these are the things I get excited about now. Oh how times have changed! Here is our messy girl.

25 Weeks

We're watching the Gamecocks play and it's such a tight game. They usually play better when I'm not paying attention too closely, so I decided to go ahead and blog. We had a good week. We went to sushi night with Dr. D. Avery wasn't even scared of the shrimp heads! We went to the see the basketball team at the coliseum and Avery got to wear her little team logo. We went to lunch with Aunt Staci who is working in Lexington now, yeh! And we backed up Avery's bedtime to 8:00. She wakes up a little earlier than usual, but hopefully she'll get used to it. Her 6 month pediatric appointment is next week so we'll see how the little princess is fairing. Alright, gotta get back to the game. Go cocks!

Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone had a great halloween weekend. It was a lot of fun getting Avery dressed up. We went to a Halloween oyster roast where there were a lot of other kids for her to play with. There was a 7 month old that was crawling all over the place. It's so hard to believe that Avery will be doing the same thing pretty soon! Our house later that night was busy as usual. Our neighborhood is filled with kids, so our doorbell rang quite a lot. It started raining right before the Carolina game started, so for the first time we had some candy left over. Notice how I'm mentioning the game in passing...I don't want to talk about it :(. Enjoy the pics.
