Too Fast!

O.K. so it's really hitting me that Princess will be a year old in 18 days. It just doesn't seem possible. It felt like yesterday she ate her first bite of baby food and got her first tooth...and crawled for the first time! Sigh. Now, she is feeding herself chunks of food, learning to use a spoon, using a sippy cup for 2 of the 3 feedings, and she'll be walking before we know it! It's a happy/sad kind of feeling. I'm thrilled to see what she will become, but I'm going to miss her at this age. It makes me want to get the video camera out a lot more. We don't do that enough. Anyway, maybe you'll start to see more videos on here. I'll try :).
I hope everyone has a great week and please keep my friend Alison in your thoughts and prayers. She is due with her twins pretty soon and is stuck on bed rest. We love you Alison!!

Our daughter is a VERY happy baby. However, she has just started having mini melt downs when she doesn't get what she wants. For example, the lens cap to my really expensive camera. Please let this phase end quickly!

Hello Sunshine!

Ahh, spring. How I love thee! We've been spending more time outside this week. We've been going on long walks and playing with Finlay. I know by the end of the summer I'll be complaining about the humidity, but right now...so nice.
This past week was tax day (yuck) but also on the same day was Amy's birthday and Summer's birthday. Happy birthday my fabulous ladies!! Mom, Avery, and I took Amy out to lunch. She wasn't feeling that great, but she stuck it out. Avery had a wonderful time flirting with her and showing off her jack-o-lantern "grill". Now, 6 teeth! Oh, and we got to meet Amy's mom. She was so sweet.
I am now an official member of a "see mommy run" group. We had our first meet last night. I think the plan is to walk once or twice during the week and then on the weekend do a run. We'll see how I do. I was fine with the walk. The running- I've ran maybe 4 times since Avery was born and it has been a while. Anyway, wish me luck!

A Shower and Sniffles

Congrats to Matt and Brandi on their upcoming wedding! Since it's the same day as Tim's sister's wedding, we won't be able to go. However, Tim was able to drive down for their shower this weekend. They had a great time grilling out and celebrating. I hate I wasn't there, but little princess is under the weather. She's feeling somewhat better. I'll just be glad when she can blow her nose on her own. She and I both despise the boogie bulb. We brought out her cute elephant humidifier, which seems to help. No more pollen please! Although, we're loving the warm weather, so I guess the pollen is a small price to pay :). I hope everyone has a fabulous week!

Playing with her Easter present from Poppy and Sitti. She adores it!
Teething on her favorite (her giraffe). Now I can see the incisal edges of d, f, and g!
Little red snotty nose :(. She's still the cutest little girl on the planet!

Avery's First Easter

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Ours was great. Lots of good food and spending time with family. Also, the music at all of the masses this year was beautiful. We sang three Mozart pieces. We were also lucky enough to have a flautist, three violins, cello, and bass. Boy did they make our choir sound awesome! Funny, how that works.
Avery has been doing really well with her crawling. She is now pulling up to her knees and close to pulling up to a standing position. Our child proofer is finishing up today, so princess should be in the clear for supervised exploring. That's about all the news here. We're just enjoying this amazing 80 degree weather. If you're looking for us on the weekends this summer, our second home is going to be my parents' pool by the lake. Ahh, can't wait!
