Salem 7 Weeks

I'm running a little behind on my blogging. We had a rough week last week with the little man.  He was getting progressively worse.  We ended up having to take him to a pediatric gastroenterologist.  Anyway, we started on a liquid form of a med we already tried and an anti-spasmatic.  Salem seems to be doing better the past couple of days.  He has started to nap a little bit without being held and we haven't had the "I've lost my mind hysteria" for hours on end.  He also made his first cooing and happy squeals the second day we were on the new meds.  Anyway, we are cautiously optimistic.
Aunt Shaunna came for the day Saturday to meet the little man and see her goddaughter. It was wonderful seeing her.  She even got me out of the house without the kids to make a quick trip to Target.  It's little things like that that keep me sane ;).  I hope everyone is doing well!

Ma's 85th Birthday

Tim's grandmother turned 85 this past week and a bunch of the family got together to celebrate this weekend.  It was wonderful seeing everyone.  Salem met his Aunt Rachel for the first time and Avery got to spend some quality time with her aunts.
I was able to go out for a quick meal/ break to celebrate Mrs. Bonnie's birthday.  It was a wonderful stress relief to be with "the Aunts" and Gina.  If only I could've had more than a few sips of their wine ;).
The Salem acid reflux saga continues.  He is napping for the first time today pretty well. We met with a lactation consultant that said he's been overeating to soothe his tummy.  This apparently makes the AR worse. Anyway, we're adjusting his feedings and trying to find the right combo of meds for him.  Fingers crossed.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Carlos' 30th

I can't believe my little brother is 30! It's been a wonderful relationship so far- from seeing him as my bratty little brother when we were younger to seeing the amazing man he has become.  I love my bro!
I just have a minute to post, but we've had a rough time of it with Salem.  We think he has significant acid reflux.  We're trying Prevacid for the second go around at a stronger dosage.  Hopefully it will help.  Poor little man is just so uncomfortable. The next step is to run a "battery of tests" as the doctor says.  Anyway, we'll see.  I'll keep y'all posted.

4th of July, Boating, & Cousins

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July.  Ours was fabulous.  We spent a lot of time on the lake with the grandparents and had a visit with some of our cousins.  We're still running on little sleep, but loving our new little man. I can't believe he is already a month old! O.K. lots of pictures to add and a feeding coming up shortly-hope everyone has a great week!
