In Loving Memory of Amy

Amy was sent home from Duke a couple of weeks before Christmas.  She was told there was nothing more they could do to help fight her cancer.  She was diagnosed in 2008. She and my brother started dating in 2007.  Amy became a part of our family immediately. My parents loved her, we loved her, my babies adored her. Amy fought for 4 long years- and even beat cancer for a couple of months.  My brother was by her side throughout. He always had such a positive attitude-so did Amy for that matter. Amy passed away on Christmas night.  My brother is handling it the best he can.  Amy just made Carlos so incredibly happy.  It is heartbreaking to have lost her so young.  We know that she is watching over Carlos.  Tim, the kids, and I will miss her terribly. We love you, Amy.

Christmas '12

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Ours was busy as usual. Santa came to our house the weekend before and then we headed to our hometown to spend Christmas with our families. The kids really enjoyed Christmas this year. We had tons of activities before we left: cookie decorating party, caroling at the nursing home, dance and preschool recitals. Salem's leg healed so well that he got his cast taken off right before the new year.  He still walks like a pirate (peg leg shuffle), but he's getting there. Here are a ton of pics & videos from the last month. Happy New Year!!
