Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.  We spent Thanksgiving day at the Sinclairs where we got to see Tim's parents, Ma, and Hollie. We also had the best dressing that I think exists.  It was fun, even though Gabrielle and Rachel weren't able to make it home- we miss them. Then we went to my parents for dinner.  A full Lebanese meal: tabouleh, grape leaves, etc. Lots of wonderful food for us and the peanut.  Also, Shaunna came and stayed with us.  I love having my evil twin come to stay, but I know she's about sick of our family & now has even more blackmail from comments my dad made at the dinner table :).
Friday was a blast. The boys (Dad, George, & Tim) went golfing, while the girls (Mom, Sophia, Shaunna, & I) went maternity & baby shopping.  There is this beautiful store on Divine street that Elizabeth took us to called Lambs and Ivy. They have the sweetest baby stuff- I just don't understand why they don't make adult blankies that soft. I wanted one for myself.
We put up the Christmas decorations on Saturday. It always puts me in a good mood to look at our Christmas tree (even though it's 15 years old and sheds like Charlie Brown's tree). Tim went up to the Carolina /Clemson Game in a 15 passenger van with Matt & Jenny, Kevin Kyzer, Will Brown & family.  They had a good time even in the cold and wet weather.
Next weekend we go to Tim's office party near Biltmore estate.  It's always a good time & I get to see my friend Summer (also known as my 2nd obstetrician I annoy with questions). We're looking forward to it.  Hope everyone has a good week.  Cassie

Cravings

We spent this weekend at our home away from home on Daniel Island. It rained all weekend but it was still nice to get away. We did a little shopping for Tim, he's leaving for Las Vegas tomorrow for "work". He won't be there long- just till Thursday, but Finlay and I will still be lonely.
A big "hang in there" to all the Gamecock fans.  Yes, we watched the entire Florida game & yes, it was very depressing.  I told Tim we should raise our kid as a Gator fan, but I guess our child needs to learn about handling disappointment too. But we'll beat Clemson (see look at that always positive gamecock spirit).
I have all of a sudden been in desperate need for chocolate milk at least once a day. I blame it on Ronda, because Tim was telling me how she drinks it all the time.  And I thought mmm... chocolate milk. Well, now I sort of have a problem with it.  I guess there are worse things to crave.  That's really my first craving considering I'm still doped up on anti-nausea meds.  I can feel it though.  One morning I will wake up & won't feel the need to toss my cookies, ahh bliss.
Tim took a "belly picture" of me today. My 14 week belly pooch.  It sort of looks like I just ate too many Krispy Kremes, but sooner or later people won't be scared to ask if I'm pregnant.  A certain person in my family (who will remain anonymous) poked a woman's belly recently and asked when she was due... the woman was not pregnant, hee hee. Mortifying, huh. It still makes me laugh though :).  Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful week.   Cassie

We're Pregnant!

Now that there's a baby on the way, it's time for a family blog, yeh!  Bear with me as I am not the most computer savvy chick out there. But see - I figured out the pretty colors and a ticker. Thank you...thank you. O.K. for me that was a big deal.  Well yesterday I put up all my "normal sized" jeans :(.  I am refusing to buy maternity pants until absolutely necessary... so you will see me in skirts. Tim is getting really excited. He's been to 2 ultrasounds with me & the second one, it actually looked like a baby. We got to see it's little legs & arms move. Still looks like an alien monkey but it'll get cuter. We are having our 3rd ultrasound on December 23 & we get to find out if it's a little Timothy or a little Cassie. Y'all know I'm too OCD not to find out. The less nauseous I get, the more excited I get (funny how that works). Anyway, enjoy the pics.  Cassie

Finlay sad because he knows he'll no longer be the baby of the house.
