I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. Ours was great. We ate way too much and got to see a lot of our family. The kids had colds, so we weren't able to see Amy this time. We missed her, but hopefully we'll get to see her over Christmas.

We are finishing up decorating the house for Christmas. It's so fun decorating a new house. We even did a kid's tree on the stairway landing. Avery is super excited about Santa this year. Hopefully, she won't be nervous around the man in red when we see him on Sunday. Fingers crossed. Salem has been saying Santa a lot from hearing Avery. I can't wait to see the kid's reactions on Christmas morning.

So, we had an incident. I got home from work last Wednesday and Salem was really fussy. I thought it was just from the cold he's been fighting. Every time I tried to put him down he would cry, so I held him until dinner and then put him in the highchair. Later Tim was getting his bath ready and noticed he wouldn't stand up. He tried to hold him up and Salem wouldn't put any weight on his right foot. We got in touch with a pediatrician friend, and she thought it could be pain in his joints due to the virus. She also mentioned it could be a toddler fracture, but doubted that was it. We had grilled the nanny and she said there was no trauma to Salem's foot or leg. We gave him Motrin and the next morning he still couldn't put any weight on his leg. Too make a long story short- Pediatrician's office sent us to the Pediatric ER to get X-rays, confirmed tibial fracture, cast 6 weeks. The poor nanny felt awful. She said she couldn't think of anytime he could've of hurt it. The doctor's said it was a spiral fracture and could've been as simple as stepping wrong and twisting his leg. Poor Buddy. He really was a champ. I just feel bad it's happened over Christmas, but he's learning to manage. We go to the orthopedist this Friday for more radiographs and his 4 week cast.
