Avery's 2nd Birthday

I can't believe our little one is two years old! She is the sweetest energetic little girl.  She's really starting to be her own person-good and bad when it comes to boundaries ;).  We took her to her 2 year appointment and she's doing well.  Her projected adult height is 5'4'' and she's right around 24 lbs. now. This morning we went to have some blood drawn for allergy and celiac panel.  They'll give us the results in a week.  We're just so lucky to have a happy healthy little girl!
Saturday evening was Avery's 2nd birthday party at our house.  We ended up just grilling out and it couldn't have been more perfect.  There was a 50% chance of rain, but it held off for us.  Avery had the best time playing with her little friends and spending time with family.  Thank you to everyone who helped out with the party.  I couldn't have done it with out you.
Please continue to keep Amy in your thoughts and prayers.  She had her first head and neck radiation treatment yesterday.  She will have 5 days in a row of treatments then a little break, then 5 days again for 3 weeks.
One last aside, I went to the OB yesterday and I am already 3 cm dilated and 90% effaced. The doc says she hopes I make it through this weekend!  She's predicting he'll come on his own next week, but the plan is to induce if we get to 38 1/2 weeks and nothing has happened. We will keep everyone posted :).

Swing Set Build

Avery was given her very own swing set from the grandparents for her birthday.  We couldn't wait to get it up before her birthday party.  All the reviews said it would take 2 days to put together, but our men did it in one.  Thank you so much Tim, Carlos, Matt, and Sutton.  You guys worked your butts off and Avery is thrilled with it.  It's pretty fancy for a Walmart purchase.  Carlos thought it was hilarious that it has a bay window and a rock climbing wall.  It's definitely a far cry from the metal red and white striped swing set we had as kids.
My birthday is the day before Avery's.  The girls surprised me with a babysitter and dinner at one of my favorite restaurants.  I desperately needed a night out. It was wonderful.  Thank you so much ladies!

Easter, Disney on Ice, & Nursery

We had a great Easter. I was pretty exhausted from the "marathon" choir week but made it through. Our choir director said we deserved an extra halo after the 3 hour Easter Vigil.  Of course all the services were beautiful, but I loved Easter Sunday with our family. Avery wore her cute Easter outfit with matching bunny rabbit purse. She kept wishing everyone "Happy E-sir" and showed off her "buddy rabbit" purse.  It was really cute.
We attended our first play/show with Avery when we went to see Disney on Ice.  We went with our cousins Jason, Katie, and Bella Grace.  Katie and I were a little worried about how the girls would do sitting in one spot for so long.  They both surprised us and did great! Avery still talks about the ice skating show with Mickie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Belle.  I think this will be a tradition for the little cousins to do together. They absolutely loved it.
I finally got the nursery done for little man.  It's such a relief to have it checked off my list of preparations for our new addition.  I like how it turned out and Avery loves showing everyone where the new baby will be sleeping.  We ended up using a lot of the things when it was Avery's nursery.  We didn't even have to paint which was spectacular.  Anyway, now it's about time to pack my hospital bag and get everything organized for Avery.  I can't believe we're less than 5 weeks away!

We had to get her a light up toy-don't ask us how much it cost
How cute is this? Avery crawled over all of us to go sit in Katie's lap beside her cousin.

For laughs
O.K. this is our luck. I ended up getting the tallest biggest dude ever sitting in front of me.  He also had to wear his sunglasses on top of his head the entire time- you know just to add a couple of inches in height.
Tim's view was fine, until halfway through she decided she had to wear this hat.
