Easter, Disney on Ice, & Nursery

We had a great Easter. I was pretty exhausted from the "marathon" choir week but made it through. Our choir director said we deserved an extra halo after the 3 hour Easter Vigil.  Of course all the services were beautiful, but I loved Easter Sunday with our family. Avery wore her cute Easter outfit with matching bunny rabbit purse. She kept wishing everyone "Happy E-sir" and showed off her "buddy rabbit" purse.  It was really cute.
We attended our first play/show with Avery when we went to see Disney on Ice.  We went with our cousins Jason, Katie, and Bella Grace.  Katie and I were a little worried about how the girls would do sitting in one spot for so long.  They both surprised us and did great! Avery still talks about the ice skating show with Mickie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Belle.  I think this will be a tradition for the little cousins to do together. They absolutely loved it.
I finally got the nursery done for little man.  It's such a relief to have it checked off my list of preparations for our new addition.  I like how it turned out and Avery loves showing everyone where the new baby will be sleeping.  We ended up using a lot of the things when it was Avery's nursery.  We didn't even have to paint which was spectacular.  Anyway, now it's about time to pack my hospital bag and get everything organized for Avery.  I can't believe we're less than 5 weeks away!

We had to get her a light up toy-don't ask us how much it cost
How cute is this? Avery crawled over all of us to go sit in Katie's lap beside her cousin.

For laughs
O.K. this is our luck. I ended up getting the tallest biggest dude ever sitting in front of me.  He also had to wear his sunglasses on top of his head the entire time- you know just to add a couple of inches in height.
Tim's view was fine, until halfway through she decided she had to wear this hat.

Big Girl Room, Amy's 30th, and Easter Egg Hunt

We just moved Avery into her big girl room.  I'm so proud of her.  She just had trouble napping in her new bed for about 4 days, but now she's great.  The first night she was in the room, she slept all night.  This change went a lot better than the potty training.  Thank goodness!
We had a surprise/ semi-surprise party for Amy at a fun sushi grill.  She has some great friends that we were to able to meet.  It was a good crowd- we had about 20 people.  It was just a little interesting seating everyone in a large banquet.  Needless to say, the pregnant hot flash one sat on the outside.  Happy Birthday to our sweet Amy!!
Tim and I took Avery to Ma's church for an easter egg hunt.  We met Ma, Sutton, and Nancy there and we had a great time.  It was raining so they moved it inside, but there were tons of arts and crafts.  Oh, and we ran into our friend's little boy William and his grandma.  It was a nice surprise.  Too bad Momma Elizabeth was working.  Can't wait to catch up with y'all soon.
I'm still working on the little man's room, but will hopefully have some pictures up soon.  I'm in the midst of washing baby gear and trying to figure out wear to put everything.  I forgot how much room swings, jumperoos, pack n plays, and play mats take up.  As long as we can walk through our living room, I guess I've done a good job ;).  Hope everyone has a great week!

This is the closest Avery would get to the Easter Bunny.  I think she still has a Santa complex, so we weren't expecting much

The cushion will go on top of a toy chest that we are still waiting to arrive.

With the bed rails and no box springs.  She hasn't figured out how to get out...yet.

Dad's Birthday, Strawberries, and the Baby Shower

We've had a crazy month! I will be breaking this month up into 2 posts.  We had a ton going on but we're doing great.  Avery is really starting to become a young lady and my belly is a planet now.  Lot's of changes :)
We celebrated Dad's birthday after they got back from their trip to New Orleans.  They said the food was out of this world and that the musical atmosphere was amazing. Tim and I are living vicariously through our friends and family's trips (little ones tend to be harder to travel with surprisingly enough ;) ). Anyway, we took Dad out for a nice relaxing dinner at one of his favorite restaurants.
Avery and I joined our friends Emily and Peyton to pick strawberries.  I had never been before, so it was really fun for me too.  Of course, I had to dress up the girl in a strawberry themed dress.  It was precious. And we have enough strawberries to last us a loooong while.  Avery didn't know when to stop filling the basket.
My wonderful friends gave me a baby shower for the little man.  We had a wonderful time and now the boy won't have to wear pink clothes!  Thanks to my girls and everyone that came.  It made me feel so special.

Avery is kinda of obsessed with sunglasses right now

Our cousins Jessica and James stopped by for a short visit.  We are due with our babies a couple weeks apart  (again!!)
It took a while to get them to stop staring at each other.
